The Louisiana Youth Seminar was established in 1971 as a unique and progressive seminar for high school students. Every year the Seminar is held at Louisiana State University for one week in July. During this fun-filled week, students participate in many activities such as icebreakers, student mixers and political campaigns and elections. LYS also offers goal setting sessions, speech writing and delivery instruction, as well as theme competitions.
