Tennessee Tribune Announces Man of the Year: Meharry Medical Head – Wayne J. Riley

Two years into his position as the the 10th President of Meharry Medical College, Dr. Wayne Riley has been chosen as The Tennessee Tribune’s Man of the Year.

Riley came into the office of the country’s largest and oldest center of African-American medical training at a major ceremony two years ago in “music city’s” extraordinary new Schermerhorn Symphony Center, attended by almost 2,000 of Nashville’s business, governmental, medical and educational leadership - a testimony to the city’s aspirations for his leadership and for Meharry’s historic role as a multi-cultural medical educational center.
